I just discovered Anybodythere.net. It feels like I’ve really been missing out. The site specializes in the paranormal, is utterly fantastic, and loaded with free services for people to connect like Paranormal chat rooms, listings of supernatural webcams and spaces to submit video, pictures and personal stories. Best of all there’s a wonderfully active community.
My only complaint, the forum has this odd regulation which requires you to make 50 posts before you’re allowed to private message other users. I can’t see how this doesn’t hinder the social networking aspect of the site, especially for people who are more casual about their paranormal interest. That said, I will be visitng again for sure.
Update: I just recieved a very thoughtful letter from Evie of Anybodythere. Long story short, the nature of a paranormal forum isn’t necessarily normal. From their experience the 50 post posts req. was quite necessary and I’m not just being a pushover when i say that I don’t think it hinders the community. Sorry for the bad press Evie!

hello i visited anybodythere.net , i went into chat and was asked 100 questions … finding this very odd… and a very uneasy feeling , alot of anger and tension in this room , people calling each other fake , i was referred by a friend of a friend , and was very curious to meet others like myself , ( gifted ) …not much going on in there ! i was told the forums were great for learning and developing … i couldnt even get into the forum link was giving a forbidden error … i find this to be a strange site and has technical issues !

i was once a member of anybodthere.net let me tell you people are so mean there the mods most of all the main moderator was calling everyone b word in private message also they can read your private messages its really sad that things are like this here i would never go back to the site the kicked my husband off because evie did not like me tried to contact the site creator and was basically ignored i do not recommend this site to anyone keep looking there are other sites online also there are no more member practice readings good luck
JeNell {Brandywine} your just up set because they kicked you off the site for playing games, coming in under assumed names getting free readings and starting fights with the other psychics, and using foul language when you got upset. So now your running around posting all of this fake BS. But, things are much nicer and much quieter since you have been gone. Yall come on in and you will see it’s a great site and TROLL FREE !!! I find this very hard to believe ‘Brandywine’ as I have been on the site for over a year and a half now…I love this site and have NEVER seen any problems or experienced any nasty games etc…Apart from the last few weeks when a member was asked to leave because of constant spamming.. and I mean constant!!!!! This ex member then decided to get a ‘friend’ to hack the site and try to bring it down…( wow thats nice isn’t it) this is why some people have had problems getting on the forum. I think that because of this the mods tend to be a bit wary and ask questions but it isnt meant as a personal dig now you may understand why they were asking. I have found this site to be a wonderful place and have made many friends on there. All forums have some conflicts this is just normal human nature if you can’t have a good debate then whats the point? I for one have NOTHING bad to say about the site its excellent!!! Don’t be put off by some comments on here as there are thousands of members who love and use this site daily for the friendships and community on there.
I have been a member of anybodythere.net for nearly two years and I find it the most wonderful caring community on the world wide web.
Yes, we have had our problems, but only in the last few weeks when a member came on and caused a lot of trouble, you know who you are JeNell.
You came on the site and tried to take over, you are ignorant and so self centred, you are egotistical and a bigot to boot.
The moderators DO ask questions, yes, but only to welcome newbies and try to make them feel at ease, they also give as much help as needed, they CANNOT access pm’s, only the site owner can do that, and ONLY when there is the rare moment of a complaint.
The main moderator is a kind and caring person, she goes out of her way to help people, and as for calling people “b’s” in pm, well, I don’t know what planet you are on JeNell or Brandywine, but it certainly is not this one.
I would have no qualms at inviting anybody to this wonderful site, the only way to find out what it’s like is to come and see for yourself.
I WILL NOT tolerate ANYBODY undermining anybodythere.net especially YOU JeNell aka/Brandywine.

Shadow people at times are considered Intelligent and at other times considered Residual based on the type of haunting encountered. Some shadow people are small, some tall, and others simply a black mass. But the evidence would tend to support a theory that shadow people whether Intelligent, or Residual are like negatives of an entity unable to fully form for what ever reason. Lack of energy, less than ideal conditions at that time and space, etc…. and are commonly found in most places where paranormal activity is present. If an individual was sensitive, and/or the place you are staying at is active then the answer would be “YES”. Shadows, or shadow people would be the most common of sightings.

I just want to say that the anybodythere chat rooms are awesome, there are some really great,sweet,nice,and helpful people there. I am clad i found it and i have told alot of people bouy it and suggested they stop buy it for the help the were looking for or just so they can find and talk to people similar to themselves. They all came back to me and told me they loved it. I want to say thanks to afew wonderful people at that chatroom for being so nice and accepting me for me:Evie,King,BBear,Michelle,cece,lilltle dancer,and a few others; thanks for being so nice and helpful and for always making me feel like i belong there.
I find anybodythere crap. the people are plain rude including the so called moderators. how rubbish are they.

If I remember rightly, you came into chat and was downright ignorant, you were trying to find fault with everything.
The moderators have a difficult enough job as it is, without having to diffuse argumentative situations which people like YOU cause.

ABUSED, yes you were causing arguments, what right have you got to warn ANYBODY about the site when you do not know it yourself?
You came into chat and caused nothing but trouble, the site is much better off without people like you, we have helped many, many people there, we are PROUD of what we do, are you proud for trying to put people off ?

i suggest this site be investigated by law inforcement. the members they refer to as gifted are severly mentally disturbed which the site admitted to me. i was not advised at any time i would be dealing/communicating with these people. not all gifted as they call them have severe mental problems i must admit. at one point i thought i was going out of my mind due to the fact communication with the gifted was then either denied the next and convinced me i was in error. they use what is called pm private message…and advise you to ignore certain people and mistreat them. they also have a forum called the bar where members swear, laugh at people.demean members and say/use cruel adjectives to describe members…they also use colored font to as a sign to not talk to someone or stop the topic. the so called gifted abuse their power over members and disrespect others beliefs. they are very subtle in the way they abuse members and at times they are right out rude. there also seems to be a lot of competition between members and scare them with curses ect… being spiritual is respecting all and this site advertises this and yet it is not the case. when i asked for someone in charge to complain i was given no information and did not care i would complain because they are based in the UK. they laughed and said go ahead…the owner Steve who i asked to speak to or a telephone number was denied to me. this site is abusive…and was laughed at when i said so. they must be very gifted at abusing people if this is their attitude. please investigated or remove site or i will go to law inforcement myself in canada as we take any kind of abuse seriously. only a few members are kind and not involved in their trickery.
furthermore to my complaint about anybody…there site, i will also send complaints to google, the site i am regestered with, netscape and law inforcement in canada which has a special branch for this type of crime. abuse is a crime…verbal, financial. physical, and emotional. i will it.
As of yet i have had no reponse whatsoever about my complaints of anybody…there. i am sure they will not let the owner steve these complaints anf file them all under G. i notice this time helen wrote a comment about how great the site is and how wonderful the people are. i find this very strange as last week helen quit the site due to a major issue which happened with another member. these two members compliment the site to no end…they are a group of people and only this group of people state that compainents are lying…very well organised i may say…ten against one…who would you believe…a few days later helen did come back to the site with aggresive appeal to her as it could taint the site i am sure. many of these gifted people as they are refered to are kids..trust me…i have kids in their twenties and the lingo and comments are the same. again i am still waiting for a reply from the owner steve….as for mike who gives his comments and protects the site with positive comments works in IT.

Pinkrose, I don’t know what you think is illeagal about a web site that so many people gladly give of there free time to make a safe friendly site where people that SEE can feel comfortable.
You think it would have been more moral to let a person demand that someone in the room tell him where to find dead people than just advise put him on ignore and he will go away. I have been at that site for over a year now and have never seen anyone abused. As for disrespect that is in the eyes of the holder sometime. Noone under eighteen is allowed to read on anybody.net. You say kids read and you know the lingo because you have kids in there twenties, well where I come from that is adult.

I feel too much competition within the site. A few ;people were welcoming but must of the people in the site are rude and laugh at other or just don;t talk to them. How sad that is,their names sure do not match their personalities. the site should promote more love and perhaps people will come back

I am with a new formed paranormal group that is having a slow start of things and could use the advice from someone that has experience in getting a group organized, working together, let alone respected in what we are doing for our community.

halloween…. thanks for responding. If you like you can see some of the investigations that we have already done on myspace at scareteam2008 or on youtube at ghostsfindus2008. Let me know what you think. I am one of lead investigators, that begun with this group a little over a year ago that the other leads have been doing “fun” investigations for sometime now and I think that I was the one to take it a bit further by making it into a real team but the rest of them are somewhat younger than I and not as mature for the work that comes with the investigations. Dont get me wrong I think the investigations are fun as well but when you have clients involved, we need to be a little more professional. well thanks again any input will be appericiated.

When one walks into a LOBBY filled with people, walks up to the group, and regardless of any conversations going on, DEMAND that everyone drop what ever they are talking about and pay attention to you, you are going to get some negative feedback simply because it is rude.
If, however, you enter quietly, state your problem and ask someone that shows intrest to talk with you in an appropriate room for your problem, you will get the help you need.
I have found a home at anybodythere and love the site. I do have my favorite mods as does any regular on the site, but have not found any of them rude or inappropriate. One of them spent one hour privately teaching me how to use one of the features and was very patient and sweet.
Anyone that goes to a chat site and expects to love everyone in there and be loved in return by everyone is a bit immature. Human nature is what it is. We all have our likes and dislikes, but a group dynamic is bult on mutual respect, which i have found in abundance in this chat.

hi anybodythere.net is not a very nice place, the forum and chat rooms are moderated by a 64 year old pagan lady who BANs and abuses people for no reason, she bans anyone for just being a christian. She does not allow christians on the forum she is a pagan bigot, she is narrow minded.
The pagan moderator also says she hates young people, shes very old, she has no husband or children so just uses the internet to vent her anger out. The moderators name is Falcon. It is not a spiritual place, theres always arguements. There are some decent people on it, it’s a shame the moderator ruins it. I reccomend people to stay away as the moderator is very negetive. And negetivity is not good for the aura.

Hi i do not reccomend this forum at anybodythere.net i heard the police are looking into one of the moderators called Falcon for abusing people over the internet. Best to stay clear from immoral people like that. The moderator also seems to ban people for no reason… best stay clear. God bless.
